On call duties will be required on a rota basis.
Job Title: Support Manager (Maternity Cover)
Responsible To: Area Manager
Salary: £22,582 to £25,528 (Point 29 to 33), pro rata for part-time
employees
Working Hours: 36.25 (Full Time) flexible according to contract terms.
Special Conditions: Hours may include evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

Job Summary
To manage, support and supervise staff to ensure the needs of clients are met and the service provided is run effectively.
Responsibilities
· Take a lead role in the referral/selection process of clients.
· Develop and implement appropriate support plans for all clients ensuring that they are involved in decisions about their own support.
· Establish productive working relationships with other professionals involved in the support of clients.
· Ensure effective recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff.
· Ensure the effective management of existing staff including the management of work practice, conduct and absence along with regular supervision, support and the identification of training needs.
· Ensure that staff are adequately deployed to meet the support needs of clients.
· Ensure that the financial management of the project meets the support needs of clients according to agreed budgets.
· Ensure that all financial and other records are maintained accurately, and that all reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
