Location: Middle East
The opportunity has arisen for experienced Senior Civil Engineers to join a number of leading Design, Civil Engineering, and Project and Construction Management Consulting Firms across the Middle East.
The Senior Civil Engineer will inspect site conditions prior to starting construction activities and verify the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate progressive experience in the following:
Checking for obstructions, photographing and documenting the condition of existing property that might be damaged by the work and ensuring all existing structures, property, utilities and landscaping are properly protected.
Reviewing materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples.
Inspecting the construction of temporary and permanent work to ensure compliance with the contract.
Documenting and approving shop drawings and submittals.
Preparing daily logs and reports and maintaining records of inspections made, tests performed and work executed.
Observing and ensuring that site safety practices are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitoring progress of work.
Assisting with the inspection of completed work, testing, commissioning and handover of work.
Qualification: BSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
