The opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a number of leading Design, Civil Engineering, and Project and Construction Management Consulting Firms across the Middle East.
The Health and Safety Manager will facilitate implementation of all Health and Safety procedures, reviews and updates.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate progressive experience in the following:
Training and familiarization of staff with procedures, policies and documentation.
Conducting regular internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures.
Reviewing and commenting on contractor’s submitted OH&S Manuals and statements.
Supervising Health and Safety staff, assigning inspection schedules, training requirements and arrangements.
Continually improving Health and Safety implementation across the project by providing direction and guidance to main contractor’s and Health and Safety employees.
Maintaining a register of all incidents and accidents which occur.
Ensuring all site based equipment complies with Health and Safety requirements and is correctly licensed for operation and use.
Qualification:
BSc Degree in Health and Safety and/or a professional Health and Safety certification such as Nebosh. 15+ years field experience.
Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
