Full Description:
To inspect, check tolerances and test parts of and complete mechanical tools and equipment, in accordance with procedures and defined requirements
Inspect incoming mechanical components from external manufacturers and suppliers
Sign off engineering drawings and POs confirming parts manufactured within specified tolerances
Complete NCRs and associated documentation and manage and maintain records
Responsible for the care and maintenance of all measuring equipment
Assist with packaging and loading of equipment for despatch when required
Assist with equipment maintenance when required
Ensure inspection and test areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
Ensure safe working practice in accordance with Industry and companys standards
Assist with writing and maintaining new and existing QC procedures
Ad-hoc department administration inc. filing
Co-operation with colleagues to support Team Leader in achieving department objectives
Occasional Purchasing parts for stock, including expediting of own orders
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
Adhere to companys and, as required, Client Companys, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Safety Management Systems
Previous experience in Mechanical Engineering/Oilfield Quality Control
Experience of precision measuring equipment: micrometers, verniers
PC experience
Familiar with interpretation of machining drawings for mechanical components
Knowledge of calibration procedures and systems
Forklift licence - desirable
CAD experience - desirable
