Job title C & I Commissiong Engineer
Job profile -
To check installation and commission the electrical controls and instrumentation of large rotating plant (fans and heaters) installed in Power Stations, Steelworks and other industrial plants to work in commissioning of new equipment, the majority of work will be overseas but will assist engineering and project management personnel in Head Office when not on site

Experience & Qualifications -
Degree / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Experience with the following is required: -
Motor and inverter drives
Pumps and lubrications systems
PLC control systems
Process plant instrumentation e.g. Temperature, pressure, and vibration instrumentation
4-20mA current loop interfacing
Actuators (electrical and hydraulic)
System installation including on occasions cabling (this is generally supervisory rather than direct involvement in installation)
computer literate; familiar with word processing, spreadsheets, drawing packages etc and should have an understanding of electrical and control equipment for mechanical systems
Familiarity with ISO standards, including health & safety, quality and environmental
Also technical standards with regard to electrical installation
Required characteristics:
Must be able to communicate intelligently with customers and contractors
Specific job requirements
Flexibility and willing to travel overseas at short notice and for extended periods, must be physically fit as locations of installed equipment can be in areas that are accessed by stairs, ladders and open mesh flooring
