Our client is a highly reputable National Civil Engineering Contractor, with projects world wide. They have recently opened an office in Scotland andthey arelookingto recruita Commercial Manager to oversee the entire commercial function of the Scottish office. Workingpredominantly in the civils/water sector our clienthas a projected annual turnover of around £17 million for 2008. Current projectsinclude mainstream civil engineering such as a £5.5 million flood prevention scheme and civil infrastructure work (civils, roads, concrete frameetc).
This is an excellent opportunityif you are working at Commercial Manager level(or an experiencedSenior QSlooking forthe next step up). You will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors with the potential to grow the department as the company expands.
Youshould have good managementskills as you willsupervise and build uponthe existing commercial team. This role affords a great deal of autonomy and as such, experience of working within and an excellent knowledge of thecivil engineering market is preferred. Experience of working within the water sector is also highly desirable, but again not essential.
Alongside a high basic salary you can expectcompany car or car allowance (circa £6500), a good pension scheme and private healthcare (BUPA) and you will beeligible for the attractive senior management bonus scheme.
