Our client, a leading Oil & Gas subsea and engineering company is looking for a contracts engineer to work in their dynamic and expanding team. The size and productivity of the company provides means that they can be flexible about permanent and contractual placements and would consider both for this role.
Working in a demanding contracts team, the successful applicant would be expected to hit the ground running and as such already possess a strong skill set. The role requires strength in commercial and contractual tendering, negotiating and managing of subcontracts and purchase orders. It will also focus on procurement and insurance claims as and when required. This is a particularly senior position within the team and applicants will require extensive experience in order to effectively train colleagues.
Reporting to the contracts manager, candidates will be expected to be able to assist the Business development team with project cost analysis and also analyse cash flow forecasts. The role will also require candidates to assist the contracts manager in identifying and implementing business improvements within project teams.
This role calls for someone with previous relevant contracts experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas, offshore construction or engineering sectors. Successful applicants will also be degree qualified, ideally in QS, business or legal discipline. This role requires someone with strong inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate with professional and technical personnel. A strong organisational ability and excellent presentation skills would be preferred.
