SAS Specialist

Our client a leading financial services organisation, are keen to secure the services of an experienced SAS specialist with a proven track record in business intelligence.

Candidates will be established SAS professionals with a passion for solving business projects using their analytical and technical expertise. Providing SAS technical leadership within the Business Intelligence Projects, contributing to the design and build of complex business solutions.

Key responsibilities
Consolidating reporting capabilities;
Supporting the business community in leveraging the SAS BI platform;
Supporting projects with BI components throughout their lifecycle;
Conducting analysis of reporting requirements from business community;
Working with Business / IT Stakeholders to design & develop SAS BI solutions including, data acquisition, data modelling.

Essential
Experience working in a complex SAS environment
Strong appreciation of principles of Business Intelligence
Strong technical experience in several of the following:
Base SAS (v9),
Enterprise Guide 4,
SPDE definition optimisation,
PROC
SQL,
SAS installation,
UNIX
SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence development including:
Self service query interfaces,
Stored process creation,
Microsoft Office integration.
Experience of SAS data integration (DI studio)
Experience of SAS BI modules (v.9)

Desirable
SAS Certification
SAS SPD Server administration
Previous knowledge of financial systems
Knowledge of Data Warehousing
