    Role - Management Accountant

    Source's client, a leading global service company are seeking a Qualified accountant or QBE to join their team on Maternity Cover contract




    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    To assist and act as deputy for the Area Finance Manager.
    To work with, motivate and develop accounting personnel.
    To ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met, and that the information supplied accurately reflects the Areas operations.
    To review financial accounts and transactions
    To assist in the preparation of forecasts for the Area business
    To provide timely financial information to support operations management.
    To monitor the effectiveness of internal controls in the Area.
    To ensure compliance with legislation internationally, including the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
    To assist in improving accounting systems in the Area.
    Some limited travel may be necessary in support of operational requirements. This is expected to be minimal for this role.
    To liaise with the accounting personnel for the legal entities within the Area for the completion of the monthly management accounts, ensuring that the figures reported, accurately reflect each entities' operations.
    To assist in the preparation of forecasts for the Area, for review by the Area Finance Manager and submission to head office.
    To assist the Accounting Services group with coordination of the statutory reporting for the legal entities within the Area.
    To prepare timely and accurate internal management reporting.
    To assist in the preparation of the Area's financial plans and the reporting of
    the plans to head office.
    To ensure compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
    To perform reviews of the effectiveness of internal controls in each legal entity and work with operations management to improve controls.
    To ensure compliance with company / division policies and procedures.
    To provide financial information and commercial support for area managers, country managers and other operations personnel.
    To assist the Accounting Services manager and supervisors oversee the day to day activities undertaken by the Area accounting personnel, by providing guidance as required.
    To assist and act as deputy for the Area Finance Manager as and when required.
    Occasional travel when necessary in support of operational requirements.


    SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

    Strong Interpersonal Skills
    PC Proficient (Excel)
    Strong Hyperion Financial Management knowledge
    Strong SAP knowledge


    EDUCATION

    Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
    QAcc. +2years relevant experience or QBE +4 years relevant experience

    EXPERIENCE
    Essential
    Management Accountant role within a Finance Department

    Preferable
    Audit / compliance / statutory reporting experience
    Previous industry experience with an oil service compa

    International accounting experience
    Knowledge of US GAAP
    Experience of working with international locations
