An opportunity has arisen for an experienced payroll specialist to join the team at Edinburgh. Your main responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of client payrolls, and processing Inland Revenue payments and other third party correspondence and involvement in other associated payroll tasks. You will be able to keep regular effective communication with clients and colleagues and through self management and organisation, be able to meet daily deadlines whilst showing initiative and contributing towards process improvements and new ideas. You will work with a wide variety of clients including SME' s and OMDs in a small dedicated National Payroll team. Qualifications and Attributes IPPM qualified desirable or relevant bureau experience

A thorough knowledge of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP and other Statutory Payments/Regulations including Tax Year End Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Have an analytical approach to problem solving. Show excellent organisational skills in a high-pressured environment Show initiative and be open to new ideas Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Understand and identify obligations to the IR Knowledge of Star payroll system an advantage Strong team working skills are essential
