Role Overview:
To ensure exports, imports and dangerous goods management are performed in compliance with the laws of the country, and its jurisdiction, in which the company operates, as well as meeting corporate objectives on trade compliance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and implement corporate trade compliance initiatives related to the EWA Compliance import/export activities in cooperation with department manager and cross-functional partners.
Conduct post-entry/post-shipment audit of import/export shipments, respectively.
Research and recommend procedural changes as needed to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Provide documented feedback to brokers/freight forwarders on operational/compliance-related matters.
Research and recommend procedures to obtain the licenses to import/export, keep and operate radioactive and explosives materials ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Create and maintain the EWA Wireline Trade Compliance manual.
Ensure EWA Wireline Radioactive and Explosive import/export, store and operating procedures are implemented according to the licenses requirements and company internal rules and standards.
Classify merchandise to ensure proper HMRC tariff numbers are assigned.
Research and recommend opportunities related to various trade agreements.
Assist in providing training opportunities for individuals throughout the EWA Wireline organization that either have import/export and dangerous goods handling responsibilities or that affect the company's regulatory compliance in these areas.
Attend appropriate seminars as needed to remain current on regulatory/industry activities that impact the company's business.
Interface as needed with UK HMRC/US Customs (CBP) or other regulatory agencies both within the UK and in countries throughout the EWA region.
Assist with the processing of Reconciliation and Drawback entries.
Make appropriate decisions as needed in matters pertaining to the company's compliance initiatives. When necessary and appropriate, guidance will be provided by the Wireline Compliance Manager and/or the Office of Global Trade Compliance Group.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Significant experience in an oil & gas service environment preferred.
Significant related experience with trade compliance (dual-use export controls) & HMRC.
Validation of shipping details to conform to UK BIS Export Control Organization in controlling the UK export of Strategic Goods, Technology & Software.
Creation & validation of Commercial Invoices.
Creation & validation of content of Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) & NES/CHIEF entries.
Document & administer amendments as required for Commercial Invoice or Shippers.
Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and company personnel in the English language.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational & administrative skills.
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) or equivalent.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
Must have a current passport or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
