Job Overview
A globally successful Risk Management organisation offers a diverse portfolio of engineering support services and products to the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets throughout the world. Our clients oil and gas centre in Aberdeen is an established provider of a range of risk based integrity services that support and enhance asset operation and maintenance. I am currently looking for a Marine structures & systems Integrity Engineer to work as part of a dedicated team in a client-facing role.
Job Responsibilities
Creation of work scopes and strategies for offshore inspection, including liaising with NDE specialists on suitable NDE techniques
Summary reporting of completed surveys and anomaly assessment
Assessment of structural components/systems (floating offshore structures)
Recommending methods for repair for the above systems
Management of structural inspections personnel and offshore attendance, travel to clients offices and facilities as required.
Candidate Requirements
A degree in a marine engineering subject, together with experience in the marine or Oil & Gas industry is required
The successful candidate would be expected to work towards, or already be a chartered engineer.
Good communication skills and the ability to deal face to face with clients and contractors is an essential part of this position.
