My client is currently looking for a Unit Manager (RMN) for a large sized dual registered nursing home / care home in Glasgow. This home provides nursing & social care for frail elderly and mentally infirm. The home has a \'good\' CQC rating and reputation, as well as being part of a leading healthcare provider so the potential for career development is excellent for the right candidate.

As part of a team your role will include:

33 hours/week
Care planning
Administration of medication
Liaison with medical professionals, relatives and higher authorities
Monitoring the well being of the clients
Providing the highest standard of practices within the home
Co-ordinate staffing
Respond to incidents
Ensure line management
Supervision and appraisal of all staff
Leading audit and drug stock take processes for the unit
Delivery of a sensitive efficient care
Leading and developing your team, personnel and financial management, Adherence to policy and protocols, and utilising your professional competence to drive standards


The Candidate:

Must be a qualified RMN
Must have brain injury or challenging behavior experience
Have a valid NMC Pin Number
Complete satisfactory POVA and CRB checks
Understanding the NMC code of conduct
Must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
Exceptional communication skills as the ability to build strong relationships with both patients and colleagues is essential
Ability to handle difficult situations
Highly professional approach to your work
Naturally caring nature
Ability to lead and motivate other staff members
Ability to handle difficult situations
Experience in a similar setting is ideal
Senior nurses will be considered for this role.

Salary: £24,500/annum or £14.14/hr
