Our client, a leading food company is currently seeking an urgent Microbiology Laboratory Technician on a temporary basis to work for around 2 months plus in their Technical Centre.

Main duties will include:
Checking, sorting and logging samples received in the laboratory and the Laboratory Information Management Systems
Testing samples for microbiological analysis
Collating results and inputting into the Laboratory Information Management System to generate reports and transfer data
Maintain laboratory quality system records
Ensure correct disposal of waste
Cleaning of laboratory, benches and equipment
The successful candidate will hold relevant scientific qualifications and have some previous laboratory experience, preferably within the food environment.
This position is also ideal for students wishing to gain industrial experience.
