Due to maternity leave my client is presently looking to add an assistant accountant to its team initially on a 6 month basis with the view to moving permanent. The client is well renowned within its sector and the opportunity represents a chance for an experienced assistant accountant to enhance and develop on their career.

The role will have the following key duties and responsibilities which applicants must be able to demonstrate through past experience;

- Preparation of management accounts
- Posting of company journals
- Calculation of client revenue calculations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepayment and accrual analysis and calculation
- Reconciliation of control accounts
- Ad hoc reporting as required

Applicants for this role will ideally be part qualified ACCA or CIMA or studying towards an accountancy qualification. Experience working in a professional services organisation would be beneficial but is not essential for this role.

Applicants must have a strong understanding of excel and an ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. In return the client offers and attractive benefits package and the opportunity for internal progression dependant on performance.

Salary - £23,000 - £28,000
