As Project Worker, experience and knowledge of mental health issues are essential, as is experience of working with Young People. This post entails a good deal of multi-agency working in addition to providing a resource to the Moving into Health Team. You will be required to work flexible hours including evenings and some weekends.

Job Description
Job Title: Mental Health Homelessness Project Worker (Young People)
Responsible To: Self Harm/Homelessness Development Worker
Salary: (£18,365 to £21,399) Point 22 to 27 pro rata for part-time employees
Working Hours: 36.25 Hours (Full Time)
Leave: 33 days per annum including public holidays pro rata for part-time employees
Special Conditions: Hours may include occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Summary
Based in Livingston, to provide a range of flexible, responsive, and person-centered mental health services for vulnerable young people in West Lothian who are in contact with Homelessness Services, or in contact with Looked After Services and who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness
Responsibilities
• To provide individual support to young people experiencing mental health problems.
• To develop group work or issue based work with Young People around issues of self-esteem, anxiety, anger management and positive lifestyle.
• To engage with young people with a view to developing a variety of community based responses to their needs.
• To develop links with existing statutory and voluntary services working with young people.
• To collate ongoing information to inform future planning discussions, including quarterly and annual reports.
• To help identify future needs and possible funding sources, for small based work programmes
• To attend planning groups relevant to this post on a regular basis and where appropriate.
• To report to the Self-Harm development worker.
