Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced QA Inspector or senior CNC Machinist who is looking for the next step who will be responsible for performing inspection of various operations activities.Generating reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, and completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
Main duties
Support compliance with company Health and Safety management system and PPR objectives and development requirements
Use of precision tools, gauges, CMM, shadowgraph, inspection fixtures testing equipment etc to inspect first off, in-process finished or purchased items for dimensions thread profiles finishes, damage hardness etc.
The completion of the production routers for inspection operations, as these confirm the components conformance to requirements.
Compile accurate Q-note reports, indicating the defect associated root cause(s) and personnel involved. Send the reports to the appropriate departments for action and close out the report when the actions are completed.
Capable of explaining the inspection system and other related quality processes and requirements to internal and external customers and suppliers as requested.
Inspect prototype parts, experimental tools and malfunctioning parts to assist Engineering personnel as requested.
Completes accurate reports related to inspection as requested, and ensures that a copy of the report is included in the production envelope. A separate copy is maintained within the QA system.
May train other personnel in Quality procedures and techniques.
Supports the activities of Improvement teams and project teams as required.
Experience: Recognised full technical apprenticeship involving the use of mechanical measuring devices
Knowledge/Skills: Liaise with personnel at all levels
Good written and communication skills
Excellent Computer Skills
