Recruitment Consultant

We are currently looking for an Independent Recruitment Consultant to join our small but very successful recruitment business, someone who wants to develop their own sector of recruitment experience within a different company.
Based in Uddingston just outside of Glasgow - and with other offices in England, Holland and Germany - we currently specialise in Scotland within the Sales & Marketing, and Technical & Engineering recruitment sectors. We are now looking for a new Experienced Recruiter to further expand our business portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with full 360 degree recruitment experience to work for us and service their own specific sector of recruitment achievement. This role would be most suited to self-managed & self-motivated recruiters, possibly those who have worked independently and/or on a self-employed basis before, maybe in more flexible and relaxed surroundings but where the focus has still been on hard work and making money.
This position will entail you covering the full cycle of recruitment - from sourcing clients and new business development, through to the full servicing of your clients vacancy requirements - therefore it requires someone very experienced in this position and who can work independently and as if they are self-employed – the difference being that you will also earn a basic salary with further additional commission on every placement that you make. You will have all the necessary tools and resources provided to you within the office - including unrivalled access to job vacancy advertising and candidate CV searching on all of the major recruitment job boards - so this position will only be limited by your own capabilities & self-drive.
You must be able to demonstrate extensive success in recruitment sales and new business development, whilst also having a proven track record of making placements and servicing your client requirements to a very high standard. Extensive daily telephone canvassing will be paramount during your first few months with the company and should be the main part of your working day until you have a number of fully qualified and high quality accounts & vacancies that will require your close attention on a regular basis.
The starting basic salary for all new associates within our business is £20,000 and this will again be reviewed based upon your performance in your first 3 months, 6 months, etc. Unlike with other agencies though, you will also receive 10% commission on all placements that you make, with no thresholds or targets in place of what you must first achieve in order to get paid any bonus. We have one of the most relaxed working environments within the recruitment sector – we are the complete opposite of your typical high street agency - and therefore we require people who are self-managed and want to achieve. A full UK driving licence and own car is an essential requirement for this role.
