Job Description

Mitel Systems Engineer - Scotland

Up to £30,000 + company vehicle

A qualified Mitel-trained phone system engineer is required for our leading telecoms client.  Inverness based candidates would be of particular interest, but people also based in different areas, e.g., Central Scotland, Perth, Aberdeen, Dundee, etc are of interest also. This role requires an excellent working knowledge and understanding of all Mitel Systems and Applications, and requires a qualified engineer to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of Mitel systems serving customers across the whole of Scotland.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Objectives Required

• Specialisation in Mitel 3300, SX2000, 6110CCM Contact Centre, OPS Manager, Nupoint Messenger and the MAS product range preferred.
• High level of knowledge of IP networking, including IP Addressing, Routing, DHCP and voice trunking including SIP.
• High level of Knowledge of TDM trunking including DASSII, DPNSS, Q931, ISDN2, E&M and analogue trunks including ADSL support.
• Understanding of cabling infrastructure including 1308 and CAT5e and containment.
• Onsite installation and maintenance of phone systems, products and solutions
• Identify training needs of field based Engineers/Technicians and feedback to regional engineering managers an engineering manager.
• Provide 2nd line technical support to the field based Engineers/Technicians both remote and on site, were applicable
• Manage and progress escalations as per escalation procedure.
• Work closely with Regional Managers and Engineering Manager to feedback any technical issues that need technical bulletins creating or high level investigation.
• Build excellent communication links to all key suppliers and partners.
• Support the Service Team and other areas of Operations to ensure we are delivering an excellent level of customer service and meeting SLA’s.
• Attend training courses and develop your own relevant knowledge and skills.
