Due to continued and sustained growth my client has a requirement for a Facilities Manager at a prestigious west coast development this is an integral role and requires a candidate with an in depth understanding of facilities management.

CANDIDATE

Technical Qualifications and Competencies:

HND or equivalent in a suitable discipline
Strong Track record in a similar role ideally in a similar environment  must have Hard FM technical experience.
Practical experience and awareness of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.


An appreciation of Risk Assessment techniques as applied to FM activity.
A detailed appreciation of relevant Codes of Practice. Experience of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM)

The Role

Management and Personal Competencies:

Excellent communications both written and verbal
Numerate and computer literate
High level of inter personal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels and disciplines within hospital
Self-starter and the type of person who will take a real pride in the appearance of the hospital
Ability to be an effective Team Player
Flexible with the ability to work under pressure whilst looking for continual improvements to service delivery

The management of maintenance to ensure the safe operation of all plant and equipment
The effective delivery of a Planned Preventative Maintenance Service
The provision and management of reactive services during normal operating hours
Responsible for maintaining reactive and emergency cover for all maintenance services outside normal hours
Responsibility for the performance of the clients subcontractors
Provide technical and professional support to subcontractors
Manage inputs and relationship with the Trust and their staff in order to develop a team approach.
The collection and provision of data related to all FM operations
Key point of contact with the hospital and other stakeholders in relation to the provision of FM services

Liaison and reporting to the Trust and other stakeholders on qualitative issues, management of the monitoring and performance procedures
To implement the quality assurance system.

Maintain formal and informal communications with designated Trust Representatives and related to quality assurance and performance monitoring
Responsible for reviewing ongoing performance levels from data/reports produced by the Facilities Management Monitoring Quality Assurance system. Initiating appropriate action to ensure agreed performance standards are maintained including if necessary producing and implementing improvement plans.
Responsibility for ensuring compliance with all the relevant Health & Safety legislation and site specific health, safety and welfare policies
Use of IT systems to provide/monitor data within the Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems.
