Full Description:
This is an opportunity to join a major housing association in a hugely fulfilling tenant focused role. You will be working as a Manager of a sheltered housing scheme responsible for promoting the general well being of the residents through encouragement and support. The scheme aims to offer support where required but ultimately encourage independence for the tenants where appropriate. This is a role that requires you to assess each individuals needs and adapt your approach to encourage the tenant's to get the best out of their living environment.

The main tasks that you will undertake include:

- Assisting new tenants to settle in
- Assess tenant needs for assistance & contact external agencies for support services
- Encourage and organise social group activities
- Ensure the property complies with health and safety regulations
- Ensure tenants are aware of the alarm process an evacuation procedures
- Establish relationships with external support agencies
- Liaise with housing management staff & assist tenants with housing forms/ enquiries
- Maintain up to date records for all tenants

You will have previous experience of working with the elderly and have an understanding of external agencies such as housing benefits and social work services. You will also have some kind of related qualification in housing/ health/ social care.
