Full Description:
My client, a medium sized public sector organisation require a contract surveyor to join their team. The role generally entails managing a number of projects (40 approx.) Projects include land development, structural reports, office alterations and demolition of Industrial Units, projects range from £500k up to £5million.

The role entails obtaining the client brief (client will be Dept. within council) Assessing whether a project can be carried out in-house or sourced to a consultant, then appoint consultant, if required, & obtain fees, budget costs etc. You are required to deal with consultants on a daily basis and should feel comfortable in doing so.

The ideal candidate would be a surveyor from a building background who has experience within maintenance and managing contracts. The duration of this post is 6 months although could be extended for the right applicant. This role will pay competitive hourly rates and a mileage allowance.
