| Our client has a requirement for a workshop a technician. The ideal candidate with has as a minimum a mechanical engineering craftsman qualification and ideally has experience working with high-pressure hydraulic equipment. The individual will interact with all levels of the business, the ability to work as a team member and effectively communicate with others are essential skills. The candidate must be willing to work flexibly within a number of workshop related activities both hands on and administrative and demonstrate good organisational skills in the workshop environment. The individual should be self-motivated and willing to take responsibility for the quality of his/her own work. An ambitious individual looking to develop within the workshop role taking increased responsibility will be of particular interest to us. Basic computer skills will be an advantage. Drivers Licence and Fork Lift Operators Licence would also be an advantage Primary role summary:- Service and carry out repairs to the company's hire fleet including pumps, cylinders and bolt tensioning tools as well as other auxiliary items. Service and repair customers equipment; primarily cylinders and pumps. Build and test new equipment particularly relating to the companies own manufactured products. Liaise with customers and interval sales regarding repairs to client equipment. Carry out administration relating to testing, receiving and despatching equipment.
