| The Fit-out division of our client, Morris & Spottiswood, require a professional and self-motivated individual to undertake the role of Quantity Surveyor, based in their thriving Edinburgh office. This role will support the Fit-out Business Unit in Edinburgh and you will be responsible for the management of all commercial and contractual issues of each project, keeping contracts within budget. Main duties will include invoicing, re-measurements, pricing and month end accounting. Morris & Spottiswood are the third largest shopfitter in the UK. They have a proven track record of delivering for clients across an array of industry sectors including retail, financial, public authority and commercial. You will be working for the Fit-out division and this will involve a variety of retail and some small works and community based contracts. You will join an established commercial team and will report directly to the Commercial Manager. Ideally you will have some interior fit-out experience or you may come from a PQS background and be looking to make a move into main contracting. Alongside good attention to detail you should also have experience of working to daily deadlines and a desire to work in a fast paced environment. Alongside a competitive basic salary you can expect a car allowance worth circa £6000, a non-contributory pension scheme with an employer contribution of 5% and family healthcare. At Morris & Spottiswood they have a very simple mission - to create a special place to work. The only way they can do that is with the people who work there. If you would like further information on the job and the role please get in touch with Hays. Please note all applications will be treated with the utmost discretion and your CV will not be submitted for the role until we have your permission. | |
