An opportunty has arisen with one of our key clients for a shift technician to be based in Leven, Fife. You will be responsible for monitoring and optimising the treatment processes associated with a fully automated wastewater treatment works and associated sewage pumping stations.
Working as part of a small and dedicated team you will use SCADA to monitor and control waste water and sludge treatment processes in order to meet the required environmental and business targets. You will also carry out the initial investigation and rectification works, implement safe bypass or shut down in advance of repairs by the maintenance team, in line with current Health and Safety Legislation.
You will ideally be qualified to BTEC Higher level in an engineering discipline and ideally have some process industry experience with an E/M/ICA background. Although water industry experience is desirable it is not essential, as full training will be given. A positive attitude, flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills is a must.
The shift system will be based on a nominal 40 hour week using a 0600-1400, 1400-2200 and 2200-0600 rota, providing cover 7 days a week. You will have a full UK driving licence and, if successful, will need to pass medical fitness standards for confined space/breathing apparatus use.
