THE ROLE Outsourcing Technical and Commercial Paralegal
Location: Glasgow
Salary:c £23k
Benefits Package: TBC
Reporting to: OTC Partner
THE COMPANY
My client is a major Law firm within Glasgow City Centre. Due to expansion, they are looking to add a new member to their team. You will support the team by:
Carrying out online searches
Writing 7 day letters in predefined format for trade mark infringement
Chasing infringers for resolution and payment
Arranging negotiation meetings if required
Arranging mediations if required
Drafting appropriate claim forms/summons in conjunction with OTC fee-earners
Reporting to clients
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have come from a similar role and must have experience of working within a Technology department, or should have an interest in this area.
Applications will also be considered from candidates who have studied IT at university, and then chosen to pursue a career within the Legal sector, however you must hold a Paralegal qualification.
You must also have:
Attention to detail
First Class writing skills
Very good organisational skills
Excellent IT skills
Good research skills
Ability to communicate with employees at all levels within the firm and across all Practice and business support areas
Working knowledge of dispute resolution processes.
