| CDM Co ordinator sought byconsultancy in Edinburgh that specialises in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Project Management and Health & Safety services. With ten offices across the UK, this medium sized firm employs around 160 members of staff nationwide. The Edinburgh office has been well established for 30 years and is growing steadily every year. My clients Building Surveying section is looking to add an eighth member to their team. As Head CDM Coordinator you will be involved in a variety of sectors including commercial, retail, housing, education and term commissions. The role of Head CDM Coordinator will include attending design team meetings, site surveys, producing pre-construction documents and provide general health and safety advice and guidance. Ideally, my client sees the person who takes this position being directly involved in management and not only managing their own work, but also handling and managing the workload of the building surveying team. The ideal candidate will have sufficient qualifications and institute membership to allow competency in the role and meet requirements of CDM Regulations. Sufficient qualifications or institute membership could be a NEBOSH construction certificate, MIOSH or Member of Project Safety or equivalent. As you will be based in a building surveying section a background in construction, such as that of a Planning Supervisor is highly preferred, although all health and safety backgrounds will be considered. In return my client is willing to offer a competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications, a contributory pension scheme, access to pool cars, a company and individual performance based bonus and 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays. Hours in the office are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm. |
