The housebuilding division of this well known construction group have a requirement fora Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Aberdeen office. The rolewill enable you to be akey memberwithinthe commercial team of this well -established developer, who have grown to become one of the U.K's leading privately owned house builders. The company has won top building and design awards, being acclaimed by the NHBC and the UK Property Awards committees.
Key aspects of the position will be the development of existing commercial procedures and standard documentation, as well as monitoring and reviewing key issues relating to sub-contract partners and directly employed site labour. You will be required to keep financial control of all developments and issue accurate reports as required. To work closely with other members of the development teams to ensure that profit is maximised wherever possible.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate development appraisals and preparing and monitoring costs for all construction works. To actively participate as part of a project team for each development, to ensure that critical programme dates are met. General financial management of sub-contracts, including preparation of bills/tender enquiries, appointment, valuation/payment, dealing with contractual disputes and agreeing final accounts.
