| Role Responsibilities & Major Activities: Provide SH&E advice and support to company managers and employees as required. Assist in the development of the SH&E processes and procedures. Support management in developing SH&E processes. Support risk identification, assessment, control and monitoring. Assist in advising on training needs. Develop and deliver SH&E training. Maintain SH&E management records and performance indicators. Undertake SH&E audits, inspections, incident investigations and report the findings. Attend, advise and support safety meetings and the company SH&E forums. Liaise with external enforcement agencies and industry groups as required. Provide support to managers in dealing with external enforcement officers, customers and others. Support the SH&E Manager in assisting the business to achieve legal compliance and meet performance standards that satisfy the business and stakeholder expectations. Advise and assist management to develop processes that deliver compliance. Carry out functional field work, promoting a positive risk management culture within the business. Maintain at least associate level membership of IOSH or similar and partake in CPD schemes Maintain an up to date knowledge of extant UK and EU legislation. Background and Experience : Have an understanding of SH&E management within a telecommunications, facilities or construction industry. Preferably be qualified to Safety and Health Diploma level. Have experience of Safety and health auditing to OHSAS 18001 Have good interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Have the ability to react calmly in a crisis. Have the ability to write clear reports and advisory documentation. Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
