Our clientis a world leader in the power generation industrial cleaning equipment, operating manufacturing plants throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the USA

They currently have a temporary opening for a health and safety officer attheir new manufacturing plantnear Glasgow.

The positionwill be for an initial fixed 6 month term, after which ongoing requirements will be reviewed.

The job holder will report to the manufacturing manager and will have responsibility for developing and implementing health and safety action plans across the business. He/She will be responsible for leading EHS continuous improvement culture, having several years experience of promoting, supporting and managing safety initiatives.

The objective is to minimise risk to the workforce whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation. Duties will include risk assessment, SSOW, Safety auditing and training. The job holder will also have a comprehensive knowledge of environmental issues.
