Full Description:
A major housing organisation is urgently seeking a tenancy support officer for an immediate start on a short term contract. You will be required to work as part of team to provide housing related advice and support to vulnerable applicants, tenants and their families.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:
- Act as a point of contact for tenants and applicants identified as vulnerable and requiring housing related advice
- Inform vulnerable tenants and applicants about their rights and responsibilities
- Provide general advice to vulnerable tenants to assist them to maintain their tenancies in accordance with Scottish Secure Tenancy Agreement.
- Ensure that all vulnerable tenants are provided with the appropriate advice to ensure that tenancies, properties and communal areas are well maintained.
- To manage tenancy conditions associated with estate management issues directly with vulnerable tenants.
- Provide assistance to vulnerable tenants to engage with individuals, professionals and other bodies with an interest in the welfare of the tenant.
-Facilitate referrals to the Housing Support Team
- Provide advice to tenants in dealing with neighbours disputes.
-Carry out visits and meetings with vulnerable applicants and tenants in connection with the allocation of properties, the signing up of new tenants and all tenancy matters.
- Carry out accompanied viewings of properties with prospective tenants.

A knowledge of housing legislation, a recent Enhanced Disclosure and your own transport are essential and housing support experience is desire able.
