| Qualified Social Worker - Children and Families (12 week contract initially) £15- 22 p/h We currently have a rare opportunity for a qualified social worker with experience in children and families social worker to start as soon as possible in the beautiful South East of Scotland working with a lively and well respected social work team. The post is initially on a 3 month contract basis with the possibility of going permanent at a later stage. Our client is looking for an experienced and qualified children and families social worker to undertake the following: - To receive referrals To undertake initial assessment of the referrals received To undertake statutory functions in relation to child protection referrals and registrations To undertake statutory function in relation to young people who are looked after To participate in the duty rota for Children & Families referrals To build positive, co-operative working relationships with practice team staff and to engage effectively with outside agencies. To participate in care plan reviews, planning meetings and case conferences as required. To contribute to Practice Team meetings and staff development sessions. To maintain case records in accordance with agency expectations. To participate in supervision which will be offered on a regular basis. To become familiar with the local authorities policies and procedures To promote equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice in all aspects of work. To undertake any other appropriate duties as determined by the Social Work Director or his nominee. THE COMPANY First People Care Solutions EXPERIENCE You must have at least 1 years UK post qualifying experience within a children and families social work context and have a proven ability in carrying out initial assessments, IERs and social background reports. A relevant qualification in Social Work e.g. DipSW, CCETSW, Degree or Masters in Social Work. The successful applicant must have current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council or General Social Care Council, and possess a recent Disclosure Scotland Enhanced certificate (this can be applied for through our agency). Applicants must be available for a quick start and a car user is essential due to the rural location and remote areas covered with this position. |
