Hays have been instructed to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Site Surveyor to manage numerous commercial projects throughout the Edinburgh and Glasgow area.

The Person

The appointed candidate will be responsible in managing commercial control 2 of or 3 new build housing build housing projects in Edinburgh, including cost reporting, forecasting, procurement, client liason. In addition, you will also establish long term partnering and framework agreements, and set up similar framework agreements with supply chain. You will join an established commercial team and will report directly to management.

Role/Responsibilities

With the fast growing nature, you will have responsibility for Trainee/Assistant Surveyors and therefore are required to have excellent communication skills to ensure full engagement of all onsite. Strong commercial acumen is essential together with a track record in either the housing or contracting sector that demonstrates an understanding of best practice processes and financial management.
