Senior Estimator seeking a new job that will give you more control? I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to apply for the job of Senior Estimator/Estimator with a well established privately owned construction company.....

Our client is a privately owned construction company consisting of five national businesses: Living Space, Construction, Interiors and Developments. As one of the UKs largest building contractors they employ around 1700 people and in 2006 had a turnover of £863m. They were recognised as an Investor in People in 2005 and have been ranked by the BITC as one of the Top 100 companies in the UK with regard to corporate responsibility.

In 2005 the company established their Living Space division in Glasgow and have since been working closely with the GHA on their refurbishment programme. In addition they have been awarded five new agreements, which will see the office grow to a turnover of £20m in 2008. This growth has brought about an excellent opportunity to recruit a Senior Estimator who will be part of a well-established dynamic commercial team who will responsible for the delivery of new build housing and SHQS refurbishment projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tender costs on numerous construction projects and will report directly to the Project Director. Key responsibilities will include:

- Co-ordination of tender bid & pre-contact activities
- Preparation of sound and competitive net estimate
- Handover and presentation of tender bid to construction team

In today's increasingly demanding and changing construction market they are keen to ensure that they keep their employees with them. In return for enthusiasm and commitment, staff are rewarded with one of the best packages in the industry as well as a complete career plan - the latter being even more evident in Scotland with the growth plans that are already in place.
