Job Location: Glasgow

My client is an international practice of multidisciplinary consulting engineers with a worldwide reputation for innovation and quality. The firm is widely acknowledged to be at the leading edge of the construction industry, contributing to numerous complex and high profile projects. Due to continued expansion, the Glasgow office needs to recruit a senior civil/infrastructure engineer that will be involved in a variety of different projects.
The ideal candidate for the position will beengaged in prestigious retail, commercial, industrial, schools and healthcare projects all at various stages of development.
As the practice have a reputation of being architecturally led, they are keen on securing a candidate with a good technical backgroundwho is interested in design and architecture. The ideal candidate will possess general infrastructure experience (drainage, highways).The right applicant shouldhave experience in the useof PDS and drainage modellingpackages and have a sound knowledge of SUDS schemes.
Job responsibilities will include:

Undertaking detailed engineering design including overseeing junior members of the team
Preparing technical schedules, reports and specifications.
Planning and managing resources.
Overseeing work carried out by Technicians.
Representcompany at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.
Ensuring service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
Ensuring that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
Ensuring senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team.
Planning and co-ordinating workload of the team.
