Full Description:
Health & Safety Manager (UK) sought by World Leading FTSE 100 banking/financial institution. This role sits within Group Manufacturing - Cash and Coin Operations which provides cash and coin services for the Group's branch and ATM network and Corporate and Retail customers throughout the UK. Health and Safety (H&S) is paramount in processing centres and a key individual is required to improve awareness and business objectives including OHSAS18000 certification.
Essential experience:
Demonstrable track record within a H&S Management role, operating in a large and complex commercial environment. Membership of relevant professional body e.g. CMIOSH Experience implementing OHSAS18000 Experience working in a commercial situation with relationships at senior management/Director level Ability to deliver information to operator level within the business environment Proven track record in relationship management. Up to date knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation including best practice
Responsibilities
Assist in translation of H&S legislation into practical procedures/working practices. Audit sites to ensure compliance. Provide high level H&S advice to Manufacturing Operations to drive performance of H&S and adherence to legislation. Provide a range of solutions in response to H&S issues as appropriate. Act as a subject matter expert in specified areas of H&S and provide expert input and guidance. Develop best practice in delivery of H&S legal and commercial issues. Take ownership of complex H&S issues devolved from senior management. Participate in business or departmental projects as required
The Individual
Proven experience of risk profiling, accident reporting, root cause analysis and auditing gained within a purely H&S focused capacity. Commercial experience gained within a large and complex environment and demonstrable experience of delivering H&S solutions in line with current legislation requirements as well as driving process improvement initiatives.
