| THE ROLE Design Manager Location: Edinburgh Salary:£40,000 - £50,000 FPSG are currently looking for a Design Manager to join one of the UKs largest construction companies. Their design managers form part of the Site Project Team where they are responsible for the management of design and build projects from enquiry through to submission of tenders, and thereafter for the management of all design related project issues. Knowledge of the construction process along with excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills will also be needed for this role. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS The Design Manager must have sufficient technical knowledge both in design and construction spheres to understand the significance of specific performance requirements in the client brief. He/she must also be able to evaluate and influence the consultant designer's output to ensure satisfactory proposals are evolved. The Design Manager should have the experience and confidence to fully take on a project and would ideally be from an engineering background.
