THE ROLE - Qualified Social Worker - Youth Justice
3 Month locum contract initially.
Location: Midlothian near Edinburgh
Salary: £14 - £22 per hour
Benefits Package:
Reporting to: Team Manager - Youth Justice Service
We currently have two vacancies for qualified Social Workers to work within this busy Youth Justice Team. Suitable applicants should have experience of working in a Youth Offending or Criminal Justice Social Work team. The contract is initially for 3 months, which may be extended. A sound working knowledge of the Criminal/Youth justice and Childrens hearing systems in Scotland is desirable. The successful applicant must hold a relevant Social Work qualification and be SSSC/GSCC registered, car drivers are desirable.

-Applicants must possess a recognized social work qualification in the UK and have current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council/General Social Care Council
-Applicants must possess a clear enhanced Disclosure Scotland criminal history check or be willing to have one undertaken.
-UK social work experience is highly desirable although all candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
