The Repairs and Service Technician reporting to the Repairs and Service Supervisor is predominantly responsible for the strip down, clean, inspection and also final assembly and test of field technical equipment sent back to the Product Center for repair or service as instructed by Supervisor.
Job Holder Entry Requirements
Education: (Required to perform this job): HNC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Related Experience: (Required to perform this job): Experience in an engineering or technical environment
Special Training: (Recommended for this job): Computer Literacy

Job Function
Strip down and cleaning of Field Technical Equipment in preparation for inspection.
Assist with inspection and failure investigation (if required) of the returned equipment.
Assist with the compilation of repairs quotations.
Assemble engineering components, working with high-pressure equipment.
Re-assemble and test field technical equipment as required to comply with original product specification.
Re-certify field technical equipment as required ensuring finished product complies with original product specification.
Maintain repairs area of workshop and associated equipment.
Maintain computer databases as required/instructed.
Maintenance of repairs department plant and equipment.
Make recommendation for improvements to the Repairs and Service Supervisor.
Assist with review of procedures and packing lists.
Maintain safe working area and practices.
Assist in the preparation of goods to be packed and shipped as and when required.
Any other duties as required by Repairs and Service Supervisor.
