Full Description:
Our clients Energy Management team are looking for a Planning and Consents Manager to join them.

Candidates will have the following accountabilities -
Take the lead/manage as appropriate and be directed by the Project Manager, providing principally planning and consent input on projects e.g. be able to manage an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process Deliver support to Commercial Development Projects as directed by the Project Managers and First Line Reports (FLRs)Liaise and coordinate with external suppliers and contractors to ensure delivery specifications are met; providing inputs on appropriate tender assessments. Ensure all core technical recommendations/advice are supported by sufficient due diligence and investigation. Recommend appropriate technical strategies to the Project Manager. Provide input to all commercial agreements and contracts to ensure Project risks are mitigated. Assist the Project Manager to prepare and present investment cases. Contribute to the identification and management of technical risks, issues and impacts of the project. Ensure efficient and effective interfacing with the Project Services Teams to input to overall projects portfolio reporting requirements. Apply accurate time, resource and cost-estimating techniques in order to minimise risk of investment and maximise value. Ensure all technical deliverables meet Commercial Development business requirements and Generation Business operational specifications. Input toGroup environmental and planning consultation responses. Ensure co-ordination of planning and environmental approaches with Renewables. Keeping abreast of new technical developments/techniques.

Candidates should have a Professional Qualification or work experienced (environmental and/or planning), Proven relevant experience within selected discipline (environmental and/or planning), Experience in commercial negotiations,Experience and detailed understanding of technical due diligence, Experience of Power Generation industry, Health & Safety management skills - minimum Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualified, National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) preferred, Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact,Analyse technical problems, providing creative solutions when required.
