THE COMPANY
A major financial services company based in Glasgow with a world wide presence with major growth plans in the Glasgow area are currently seeking an Ingres Developer
EXPERIENCE
Role requirements
The successful candidate must have the ability to translate business requirements into technical and functional designs using analysis / design skills as well as the ability to translate technical and functional designs into application code.
You must have In-depth knowledge of the core development technologies and tools is also essential.
Excellent understanding of the deployment platform as well as a detailed understanding of applications supported by the development team is also vital.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player who works with team members to engender a sense of direction as well as coaching junior team members.
The right candidate will be analytical, with excellent problem solving skills with the ability and self-motivation to work on own initiative when required. The ability to communicate at various levels both inter and intra team is also essential.
SKILLS FOR THE ROLE
Professional/technical experience: Ingres Open Road, Ingres2.6, HP Unix, OOD, Clearcase, Shell Scripting and C/C++.
