Due to continued expansionwith one of thereGovernment Defence contracts, there is an immediate need for a Structural Engineer. As a team member within the estatesstrategy and inspections department, the Structural Engineer will carry out inspections of buildings, facilities and infrastructure to ensure their integrity and allow decision making in future maintenance investment.
The current Senior Structural Engineer provides advice and support to the project management anddesign teams in addition to providing advice to the in-house design control department. The role alsoallows the engineer to bring consultants and contractors on site to carry out specialist inspection work.
The department incorporates a multi-discipline team civil engineers, architects, building surveyors and project managers who interact on current projects on a regularbasis. The navalbase incorporates Marine, Nuclear, Explosive, Navy, Military, andSecurity which gives the candidate an opportunity to gain familiarity and experience within a varied environment.
