| Health & Safety Advisor, Edinburgh Job Description : To provide dedicated Health, Safety and Quality support to thebusiness. Ensuring all risks are mitigated and the business is compliant in all relevant H&S & Environmental legislation. Particular emphasis will be placed on the management and control of Contractors. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Delivery of Health and Safety Management, support and co-ordinationincluding the development & delivery of an integrated H&S intranet site and PTW system. Provision of an integrated CDM monitoring role to support project delivery Ensure full co-ordination, investigation and management of all H&S incidents & near misses. Pioneer and co-ordinate Health and Safety best practice Manage internal and external audit compliance processes in accordance with ISO/OHSAS procedures. Undertake planned and ad-hoc site building & site project audits and inspections. Continuously challenge the norm and review Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance at all times. Act as the lead for all on site Health and Safety Training including, First Aid, Fire, Manual handling and team specific training. Undertake on site H&S Inductions & DSE Assessments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Essential :excellent IT skills are a priority. Qualified to NVQ level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety practice orNEBOSH Diploma. Full membership of IOSH essential. |
