Full Description:
Our Client is international recognised for their contribution to the offshore oil and gas industry, specialising in drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention.

 Provide first line support to users at all UK based facilities and some
region facilities if need be. The function of first line support is to
resolve issues either telephone/email/remote and should this not be
possible then assign to a member of the support team.
 Monitor the calls logged on the Helpdesk and maintain a timely
resolution on all calls, co-ordinate resources to resolve calls and to
verify with the end user that the call has been completed
satisfactorily.
 Carrying out administrative tasks, which include completion and
management of the following Forms, Software Tracker Spreadsheet,
Helpdesk Call/Work Order Generator Form and New IT Equipment
Distribution Forms.
 Assist in any other reasonable requirement, which will allow the
support function of the I.T. Department to be carried out efficiently,
professionally, and in a timely manner.
 Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line
Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient
manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is
reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil
these.

The ideal candidate will be;

 Educated to Standard Grade Level with English and Maths at Level 3
or above
 Have working knowledge/troubleshooting skills of Microsoft
NT4/2000 & XP Pro/Office 2000 & 2003.
 Basic Networking Knowledge – TCP/IP/LAN Technologies
 Hardware Technical Skills – ability to troubleshoot hardware devices
such as Hard Drive/CD Rom/Graphics Card/Sound Card/Network
Card etc.
 Network Printer troubleshooting skills
 Will have previous experience in an I.T. Department supporting over
200+ Users.
