| Our client has adopted a growth strategy for its oil and gas business, requiring an ongoing supply of new contracts, from both exiting and new clients. Successful contracting is a challenging endeavour, particularly when operating in a competitive business such as hydrocarbon extraction and processing. Whilst one of the primary responsibilities of the position is, therefore, the co-ordination, preparation and contract support, the position offers much more, including client interaction, attention to service delivery. This position carries a significant responsibility. The successful candidate will also be expected to influence continuous improvement in the contracts process. Job Responsibilities : Reporting to the Oil and Gas Contracts and Commercial Manager, the role will involve: • Assisting all aspects of preparation in O&G Contracts review, clarifications negotiation and delivery through to contract award, operating as a point of contact with the client during the negotiation and review process. • Assist the development of appropriate contracting arrangements (e.g. frame agreements) with key clients • Assisting with the support provided to other regions in the preparation of pre-qualifications, proposals, quotations, and tenders following approval by the Area Development Manager. • Preparing and maintaining standard documents required for contract and commercial support with tenders. • Supporting Management in process and procedural improvement initiatives. • Maintaining and enhancing perusal and company knowledge on innovative contracting arrangements through the receipt of industry literature and the attendance at appropriate ‘contract management’ conferences and seminars. • Maintain electronic and hard copy files of live contracts Holding a degree in law, commercial or business management. It would be desirable to have knowledge of oil and gas business, contracting strategies, tender preparation, commercial and legal awareness. You will also need good communication skills, including technical report writing; the ability to work to tight deadlines and adaptability. |
