Full Description:
Our clientoperates a portfolio of power stations with the capacity to produce enough electricity for around nine million homes. They areone of the UKs largest energy suppliers, with over six million customers, making us one of the UKs leading integrated energy companies.They are currentlylooking for a Electrical Power Plant Engineer to provide electrical power plant technical expertise to existing stations, while solving problems and implementing improvements.

A key part of the Electrical Control and Instrumentation Group within Generation Engineering, youll liaise with manufactures and Power Station Engineers to support our generation business. From project concept through to operations, youll readily share your expertise,helping deliver cost effective and robust electrical systems. Youll also write technical specifications, undertake tender or design reviews and investigate plant faults, all the while providing technical consultancy to both our Client andtheir portfolioof external clients.

With expert knowledge and experience in static electrical plant, including transformers, switchgear and cable systems, youll have the foundations to make a real impact with our client. Youll have experience in electrical plant from LV to at least 132KV, with a background working in power generation desirable, but not essential. On a personal level, youll be a strong team player who is proactive in their approach to work and enjoys being challenged. Youll also should be a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status, with have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
