| Principal Infrastructure Architect / Consultant This is a Senior Infrastructure role with the suitable candidate able to deliver a high level technical solution within a major enterprize level private sector client. Location: City Centre - Edinburgh Rate: £40000 - £55000 + car allowance + bonus Duration: Full Time THE COMPANY FPSG's client, a major IT Services organisation based in the central belt of Scotland is currently seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect / Consultant to be based in Edinburgh. THE ROLE To role is to develop and deliver technical infrastructure solutions as part of an overall programme of work based within a major enterprize level client. You will be responsible for working with the business development teams to create technical business cases costings during the qualification of opportunities. You will be responsible for the overall definition of the win strategy. You will ensure that the IT service/IT infrastructure solution meets internal and customer criteria in terms of cost, quality, and services provided. Ensuring that technical solution components are accurately documented, consistent and that approved tools are used. Ensuring the successful initiation, management and closure of projects, including the delivery end to end solution delivery and post implementation reviews for all projects. ESSENTIAL SKILLS The candidate must possess the following:- Have a proven track record of implementing large technically complex infrastructure projects in major enterprize clients. Technical knowledge (demonstrates comfort with business sector, solution, product, service knowledge. Easily integrates/applies these perspectives to solving business needs) Awareness of consultative selling or business value creation techniques Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Deep understanding of IT technology, networking and the Internet. Deep understanding of Microsoft Technologies and implementation of migration strategies from legacy environments eg Lotus Notes to Microsoft Technologies. Excellent presentation skills and personal credibility adequate to operate effectively at senior management level. Proven ability to work under pressure to support project deadlines Demonstrable ability to be confident, pragmatic and tenacious to ensure customer satisfaction through implementation of technical solutions.
