| New Job ref: 121025 New Vacancy -Site Manager Permanent Job - Salary £40,000- £45,000+(Excellent Package) GlasgowG23,Scotland, UK. A SITE MANAGER is required to work on various civil engineering projects in Glasgow. Benefits include a car, (free fuel tank located at head office in Glasgow), contributory pension scheme, BUPA healthcare, 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and fantastic social activities every month! A site manager is needed for my clients civil engineering division. You could be managing a variety of different projects. Which project you work on will depend on your interest, and what you would be best at. There are a number of projects you could get involved in; it could be a golf course, remediation project, hospital, slipways, hard landscaping, retail development, drainage work or office blocks. Project value will range from £500K - £1M. Reporting directly to the contracts manager, you will need to have commercial awareness, and be required to carry out usual site management duties, including, but not limited to; prestart checks, pre-awards, dealing with subcontractors, health & safety issues, co-ordinating labour, staff and subcontractors. You will be predominately be site based, and will be expected to catch up on office work once a week. All projects are around 1 hour travelling distance from the head office, so you will always be working local. You will be working for a company that promotes from within its own organisation. To be considered for this vacancy you will need site management experience, and should be preferably from an engineering background, with a minimum HNC Civil Engineering.
