Job description: Network Officer
Location Office based Glasgow (city centre) but flexible working considered.
Accountable to Scottish Recovery Network Director
Conditions* 1. It is anticipated that this post will be full time (36.25 hours) though flexible working considered. 2. Evening and weekend working may be required as will some travel throughout Scotland.3. Four weeks annual leave (full time) plus 11 public holidays and 2 floating days per annum.4. Contributory money purchase pension scheme available.
Salary £22,766 to £25, 630 (Points 30 to 34 on Penumbra pay scales – subject to cost of living review)
Purpose of the job To support the work of the Scottish Recovery Network, both locally and nationally, and to work with colleagues towards achieving the Networks aims and objectives.
Key tasks 1. Support local and national capacity for recovery by:a. Contributing to the development of local groups and networks.b. Contributing to awareness raising, events and training sessions.c. Supporting specific initiatives including work in relation to Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) and the development of Peer Support.2. Contribute to the development, upkeep and dissemination of web based and printed materials.3. Support and attend meetings on behalf of SRN.4. Contribute to SRN office functions and administration.5. Undertake such other duties as may be required by your line manager.
Line management and other responsibilities There are no line management responsibilities.
* SRN is not a legally constituted organisation with staff employed by the voluntary sector agency Penumbra. SRN therefore comply with Penumbra’s policies and procedures and financial management systems and staff are subject to their terms and conditions.

With recent expansion of SRN we wish to employ someone to support the work of the Network, both locally and nationally, and to work with colleagues towards achieving the Networks aims and objectives.

We anticipate the Network Officer playing a significant role in supporting the development of a number of groups and initiatives. These are likely to include work to promote Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), Peer Support and local recovery network development.
