A SITE MANAGER is required to work on various civil engineering projects in Glasgow. Benefits include a car, (free fuel tank located at head office in Glasgow), contributory pension scheme, BUPA healthcare, 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and fantastic social activities every month!
A site manager is needed for my clients civil engineering division. You could be managing a variety of different projects. Which project you work on will depend on your interest, and what you would be best at. There are a number of projects you could get involved in; it could be a golf course, remediation project, hospital, slipways, hard landscaping, retail development, drainage work or office blocks. Project value will range from £500K - £1M. Reporting directly to the contracts manager, you will need to have commercial awareness, and be required to carry out usual site management duties, including, but not limited to; prestart checks, pre-awards, dealing with subcontractors, health & safety issues, co-ordinating labour, staff and subcontractors. You will be predominately be site based, and will be expected to catch up on office work once a week. All projects are around 1 hour travelling distance from the head office, so you will always be working local.

To be considered for this vacancy you will need site management experience, and should be preferably from an engineering background, with a minimum HNC Civil Engineering.
